✽ What is your character's main motivation? What drives them and keeps them going?
Up until recently, his main motivation was to protect ordinary people and kill demons - or enable the next generation (shut up, you're 23) of demon slayers to do so. With the whole demon problem solved, his motivation should just be to enjoy life and build a family, but that's so normal and unflashy, he'll struggle with finding something to keep him going on his own.
✽ What is their biggest regret? Why?
Just how many people he has "let" die. He seems to feel a great responsibility to protect ordinary people and their ordinary, unflashy lives, and almost comes across like anyone who has died to any demon while he's been in the corps is his fault. He can be convinced that makes no sense, but always circles back to that thought of what if he was better, what if he could just do more? An adjacent regret is retiring so young. Yes, he lost his hand and his eye. Yes, he made the agreement with his wives to retire - no matter what - after taking down any of the Upper Ranks, but even after that he wanted to stay in the fight. He'll always wonder if any of the Hashira or Corps members who died in the Infinity Castle would have made it out alive if he'd been there.
✽ What is their worst fear? Their greatest comfort?
His worst fear is that he and all he is - his training, his ideals, his skills - isn't enough, that if he can just be better in some way he'd be worth being cared for, and able to protect everyone he loves - and everyone he doesn't.
His greatest comfort is his loved ones - his wives, "his" kids, his friends - he listens when they build him up, even where he has his own doubts and disbeliefs.
✽ Top three strengths?
+ Kind-hearted - He might pretend he isn't soft, but he is, don't let him fool you. Once someone has wormed their way into his heart (a surprisingly easy thing to do), he will do anything for their safety and happiness. This even extends to normal civilians, too, to a lesser extent.
+ Strong-willed - He has his own set of morals and ideals, and he will stick to them, even at the cost of his own life (though not at the cost of loved ones'). He'll also power through pain and suffering without so much as flinching if that's what it takes.
+ Flashy
✽ Top three weaknesses?
- Ego - "I am a god!" While he puts on a front of having a huge ego, to the point of coming across as extremely prideful and demanding the protagonist trio kowtow to him at his whim, he actually has a pretty deep inferiority complex, believing himself to be untalented and uninspiring, especially when compared to other Hashira.
- Single-minded - Once he has it in his head how something is meant to go, that's it, he's very hard to convince otherwise.
- Flashy
✽ What was their last lie?
Almost certainly some small, silly little white lie, but the most telling recent Big Lie was that he was totally cool with retirement and it's what he wanted. Sure, he and his wives agreed that that was the plan all along - disability or no - but they made a point to tell Tanjiro that he really wanted to stay in the fight.
